Here is the interview transcript for an reading easy, and below you’ll find the full article and a link to the digital edition of IBI NEWS:

SEA Yacht Group is a yacht brand dealership and super yacht charterer which operates offices in Ibiza and Monaco. Malcolm Moss, the company’s founder and CEO, said the company’s clients are “gravitating towards more trusted, established, and quality European brands, they expect a shipyard to be as innovative, progressive and inspirational as they are in their own businesses”.

“Gone are the days of shipyards ‘accepting’ a client’s request for a particular feature or comfort. Now our clients expect shipyards and their flagship models to demonstrate these values and innovations in real life and now more importantly, before others,” he said. “This is why we were incredibly happy to be approached by Sanlorenzo, who clearly leads the market in quality, range offering and innovation.”

SEA Yacht Group

is the exclusive distributor of builders such as Fjord, Sanlorenzo’s brand Bluegame, Austin Parker, and Medyacht in Ibiza and Formentera.

“We also specialise in putting together superyacht charter itineraries which create life experiences and memories. The superyachts themselves help to enable those special experiences and are often the landscape or backdrop, not the star, to the family’s memories,” according to Moss.

Asked about the market’s performance this year, the company’s CEO said that 2023 has “felt more like business as usual, but with a difference: it’s clear that now supply in stock and availability is becoming normalised, our clients are returning to be much more considered in their decisions. The purchase process is taking longer, commissioning conversations are more extended, and the financial aspects are returning to a more reasonable timeline.”

With regards to 2024, Moss believes it could be a good and busy year, but the coming months will tell whether this forecast is confirmed by reality.

“I bet everybody said this just before a pandemic year! Who knows what 2024 could bring? What I do know is that we will continue to concentrate by focusing on our clients first, then we see what this brings to us and the organisation second,” according to the company’s founder.
